The SummerCart64 is an open-source N64 flash cartridge built for both playing and creating games on the Nintendo 64. This complete kit includes the cartridge, an 8GB microSD card, and a USB microSD adapter. As the first fully-featured open-source flash cart for the N64, it combines fast I/O, lib-dragon compatibility, and a well-documented API — making it ideal for homebrew development on original hardware, while also letting everyday players load and run their own N64 game library from a single cartridge.

Instead of swapping between dozens of individual carts, this n64 flash cartridge lets you store and play your whole collection from one device — effectively an all-in-one N64 cartridge for your library. Key hardware features include 78 MiB of combined memory (64 MiB SDRAM + 14 MiB flash), supporting ROMs larger than standard N64 cartridges, plus 64DD hardware emulation for direct disk dumps, multi-disk games, and combo titles (cartridge + disk).

The cart automatically backs up all supported save types, storing data to the microSD or sending it via USB to your PC without needing a reset. Region-free compatibility allows seamless NTSC/PAL switching, with the last used region saved in NVRAM — so whether you're loading a single n64 game or managing a full multi game setup, everything just works.

For developers and tinkerers, the SummerCart64 includes direct mode booting to bypass the built-in bootloader, giving you complete control from startup — essential for custom development and IPL3 replacement.
